.38 S&W SN: 5540 Vintage break top double action revolver circa 1909-1920. Has both a top latch and a thumb latch that must both be operated to open the action. Features nickel re-finish, 3.25" barrel, fixed sights, fluted 5-shot cylinder, checkered gutta percha grips with S&W logos. Bore is good condition, somewhat frosted & dark with visible rifling. Retains very good nickel refinish, possibly chrome, appears a bit thick. Grips are missing pieces on top across backstrap. Markings are thin and eroded. Action does not operate properly. Condition is NRA Poor (refinished - needs repair) *** C&R Firearm ***
